The neighbourhood of Steveston North is located at the southwestern portion of Richmond's Lulu Island, north of Montcon Street and the historical Steveston Village. About 3% of residents walked or bicycled to work, while more than 76% utilized personal vehicles. The SkyTrain stations in Richmond provide rapid transit to nearby cities, including downtown Vancouver, making a commute utilizing public transportation easy and convenient.
Schools
Children in the Steveston North neighbourhood attend John G. Deifenbaker Elementary, Manoah Steves Elementary or Westwind Elementary, depending upon their exact location. These schools feed into Robert Alexander McMath Secondary School and all are conveniently located within the neighbourhood, many within walking distance of the family homes.
