Residents can reach metro Vancouver via the Arthur Laing Bridge, Oak Street Bridge and Knight Street Bridge, and it's just a 20-minute drive to the Tsawwassen BC Ferry Terminal. The Canada Line is also easily accessed from Granville, which offers rapid transit to Vancouver. With 16 stations, Canada Line provides an excellent travel alternative, and connects with the existing rapid transit lines at the Waterfront Station.

Many parents in Granville enjoy walking their children to and from school each day. The schools serving the area are Donald E. McKay Elementary School on Lombard Road and the Burnett Secondary School on Granville Avenue. Here, children can enjoy the large playground and fields during and after school. The Garratt Neighbourhood Park is available in the neighborhood as well, on the site that used to be the B.W. Garratt Elementary School; residents often bring their pets to this area for fresh air and exercise.
