Nearby, there is the Osoyoos Off-Leash Dog Park, where you can take your furry friends. For trekkers, hikers, runners and mountain bikers, the Osoyoos Oxbows Trailhead offers amazing wooded trails that are perfect for people of all fitness levels. If you enjoy swimming, fishing or kayaking, then a visit to Haynes Point (Swiws) Provincial Park is a must. Its located on the Osoyoos Lake and offers gorgeous views of the crystal blue waters. The Okanagan Desert borders Osoyoos city. The Desert Centre Osoyoos organizes night walks in the desert, where you can climb dunes and indulge in some stargazing. When there, do visit the Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad for its spectacular craftsmanship.Beach lovers will certainly love the Legion Beach Park, which is just a few minutes drive away. There are several schools in Osoyoos, which offer quality education from K-12. Some of the best places to consider are Osoyoos You Learn, Osoyoos Elementary School, Osoyoos Secondary School and Good Shepherd Christian School. Sprott Shaw College Osoyoos is the closest and most reputed college in the neighbourhood.

Healthcare

The Osoyoos Health Centre is located right in the heart of Osoyoos. Desert Doctors' Clinic, Desert Sun Counselling & Resource Centre, Cougar Mountain Therapy Center Ltd, Osoyoos Mental Health and Osoyoos + South Okanagan Physiotherapy & Active Wellness Centre are a few other healthcare centers here. Transportation

Osoyoos is served by the South Okanagan-Similkameen Transit System, Monday to Friday. There are two routes – Route 40 & Route 41 – which serve the area. The only area in Osoyoos where bus routes are by request-only, is Kaleden.
