If you and your family are hiking enthusiasts, Keremeos Columns Provincial Park and Horseshoe Canyon are just a few minutes away from the village. You have access to breathtakingly beautiful family-friendly trails here. If it’s a weekend hiking getaway you’re after, the Cathedral Provincial Park and Protected Area is about an hour’s drive away. You also have the Apex Mountain Resort 50 miles from the village, where you can indulge in some R&R. Wine lovers will find Keremeos heaven. There are many reputed wineries here, including Clos du Soleil Winery, Saint Laszlo Vineyards and Robin Ridge Winery. They organize walking tours and tastings here. Residents who enjoy history and art should visit the South Similkameen Museum. It is one of the largest museums in the Okanagan Valley and home to the region's historical artifacts. The village has movie theatres, amphitheatres, restaurants, pubs, arcades and malls where residents can spend their evenings after work.

Education

Keremeos has an excellent school system. The Cawston Primary School, Similkameen Elementary Secondary School and School District No 53 (Okanagan Similkameen) are a stone’s throw away from the village center. If you don’t mind the drive, you have excellent schools like Cherished Beginnings Preschool, Oliver Elementary School, Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary School and Southern Okanagan Secondary School in the nearby city of Oliver, 40 minutes away. Kids who want to learn dance can attend classes at Keremeos Pre Dance. The closest college to Keremeos is the Okanagan College and Sprott Shaw College in the city of Penticton. Kelowna is also about two hours’ drive from Keremeos, and there are numerous colleges in the city.

Healthcare

The South Similkameen Health Centre is the primary hospital for the village of Keremeos. The South Okanagan General Hospital and Osoyoos Health Centre are also nearby. Pet parents can take their pets to the Central Ridge Veterinary Clinic and Three Valleys Veterinary Svc for treatment.

Transport

The South Okanagan-Similkameen Transit System serves Keremeos on Route 50 three times a week. Residents can use the bus or drive their way to work and school. For air travel, you will need to go to Kelowna International Airport.
