Throughout Richmond, TransLink provides bus access with regular routes all over the city. The closest bus stop on Granville Avenue is less than a kilometer from the neighbourhood.

Schools

Families in Riverdale send their children to James Thompson Elementary and Burnett Secondary School, both of which are considered above average and are less than a kilometer from most homes in the neighborhood. Those seeking alternatives to public school can opt to send their children to St. Joseph the Worker Elementary and Richmond Christian School. Each September, the Nibbles and Bits of Richmond Festival is held here, and residents turn out to sample the foods of local restaurants, check out amazing crafts and art projects, a carnival and the sports competition.

Terra Nova Rural Park and the Terra Nova Natural Area are fantastic options for those in search of fun and thrills. At the park, individuals can explore a variety of trails, gardens and wildlife habitats while the Natural Area is an amazing spot for bird-watching. Over 1.4 million birds migrate through the area each year, so visitors often get the chance to spot majestic eagles, herons, gulls and more. Other options for recreation in the area include the Richmond Oval, which was built for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, the Quilchena Golf & Country Club featuring a gorgeous 6,781-yard course, and the John M.S.
