McNair Real Estate & Homes For Sale

Located in the southern part of Richmond, the McNair neighborhood is particularly popular amongst families with school-aged children. The typical home in McNair was built in the 70's or 80's, and reflects the building styles and trends of that particular time, with large lots and private yards. Most homes in the neighborhood are located on cul-de-sacs and tree-lined streets add a charming aspect to the area. Individuals searching for the perfect "fixer-upper" home often end up buying in McNair, where prices are affordable and homes can be easily renovated to become the buyer's dream home. This also makes McNair an excellent neighborhood for investors, because an easy and affordable update on a purchased home can provide a significant return on investment, especially since McNair homes don't tend to stay on the market for long.

McNair residents are just steps from the South Arm Community Park, which is one of the largest parks in Richmond and features tennis and basketball courts, walking trails, and playgrounds. As Richmond's population continues to grow at a steady rate (jumping about 9.2% between 2006 and 2011), new developments within McNair provide multi-housing options for those who would rather purchase a townhome or condo. The 2011 population of 190,473 makes Richmond the 4th largest city in British Columbia.
