Shopping & Dining

The city of Langley boasts plenty of excellent shopping venues, including Willowbrook Shopping Centre (one of the largest shopping malls in Metro Vancouver featuring over 150 stores and over 640,000sq ft of retail space), Innes Corners Plaza in the heart of Downtown Langley’s shopping district, quaint shops and antique stores dot McBurney Lane, and many smaller shopping plazas and strip malls are scattered around the intersection of 200th Street and Langley Bypass.

Residents and visitors to Langley have dozens of excellent restaurants to choose from, including popular dining venues like Estrella’s Montreal Deli, Bacchus Bistro, Galini Greek Kouzina & Grill, Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine, Pasta Polo, Shiraz Grill, Donair Hut, the Keg Steakhouse & Bar, Cactus Club Café, White Pearl Café, and Sushi Mori. There are also many restaurants scattered along Fraser Highway.

Transportation

Langley is served by TransLink (also known as the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority) that operates regional transportation networks around the city, including several bus routes, and five community shuttles. There is also a rapid bus service (555 Port Mann Express/Lougheed Town Centre Station) that operates along Carvolth Exchange in the city and Lougheed Town Centre Station in nearby Burnaby.

Schools

Residents of Langley are served by School District 35 Langley, and there are currently six elementary schools and one middle school within the city. The elementary schools located in Langley are Dorothy Peacock Elementary, Langley Fundamental Elementary, West Langley Elementary, Wix-Brown Elementary, Peterson Road Elementary, and Parkside Centennial Elementary. H. D. Stafford Middle School is the city’s only middle school, and there are five large high schools in the surrounding area, including Langley Secondary School, Walnut Grove Secondary School, and Brookswood Secondary School.

There is also a campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University located in the city of Langley.

Attractions and the Arts

Langley has plenty of cultural, historical, entertainment, and outdoor attractions and activities for residents and visitors to choose from. Local parks in the city include Campbell Valley Regional Park, Derby Reach Regional Park, Glen Valley Regional Park, Douglas Park, City Park (which also houses the Al Anderson Memorial Outdoor Pool and the Langley Arts Centre just to name a few), Buckley Park, and Nicholas Park.

Three golf courses are also located in Langley: Redwoods Golf Course, Belmont Golf Course, and Tall Timbers Golf Course.
Sports

Several sporting events and tournaments take place at the Langley Events Centre, including the Langley Rams (Canadian Junior Football League), the Langley Riverman (British Columbia Hockey League), the Vancouver Stealth (National Lacrosse League), and the Langley Thunder (Western Lacrosse Association/Canadian Lacrosse Association).
