Transportation

Although the streets in Murrayville aren't quite in a grid system the way they are with some of the newer neighbourhoods, navigating the area isn't difficult. The major north-south through road is 216th Street, and east-west is 48th Street. Residents can also use 216th Street to reach the Trans-Canada Highway, the fastest route to nearby cities like Coquitlam, Surrey, New Westminster and Vancouver. Throughout the area, TransLink buses run regular routes and have frequent pick-up times, making it easy for residents to take advantage of public transportation. However, most residents continue to utilize their own personal vehicle for the majority of their traveling.

Schools

School District 35 Langley serves the Murrayville neighbourhood, with younger children attending James Hill Elementary School and Langley Fundamental Elementary School. These funnel into Langley Secondary School, which serves older children. Parents have alternatives to public school, as well, including Credo Elementary School and Credo Secondary School, both of which are private Christian schools. Post-secondary students have a couple of options when it comes to continuing education, including a campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Trinity Western University.

The Arts

There are a few different options for checking out and taking advantage of the arts in the Township of Langley. Stagecoach Theatre Arts is located not far outside of Murrayville, and is a school teaching performing and live arts to adults and children. The Langley Civic Centre is a nearly $2,000,000 facility featuring a hockey and curling rink. Directly adjacent to the Civic Centre is a skate park and a BMX track.
