Pitt Meadows Secondary is well-known in the area for its hockey and basketball teams, and currently has over 1,200 students enrolled (2015).

The Pitt Addington Wildlife Management Area (once known as Grant Narrows Regional Park) is comprised of Pitt Lake, protected marshlands, and flat dykes, and residents can enjoy canoeing and kayaking, picnicking, and more. Other parks in the area include Golden Ears Provincial Park, Kanaka Creek Regional Park, and The University of British Columbia’s massive research forest, known as Malcolm Knapp.
