Transportation
Pitt Meadows has several transportation options, including West Coast Express commuter trains that connect the city to Mission and Vancouver. The Golden Ears Bridge connects residents of Pitt Meadows to nearby Surrey and Langley, and the Pitt River Bridge connects the city to Port Coquitlam on the west side.
There is also an airport (Pitt Meadows Airport) which serves residents with local and regional flights, and is located in the southwest area of the city.

Residents of South Meadows are served by School District 42 Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows, with four elementary schools and one secondary school system in the city. Pitt Meadows Secondary School is popular for its various sports programs, especially hockey and basketball. Other sports programs at P.M.S.S. include football and lacrosse. The four elementary schools in Pitt Meadows are Davie Jones Elementary, Edith McDermott Elementary, Highland Park Elementary, and Pitt Meadows Elementary.
Located in nearby Maple Ridge is Ridge Meadows College, and situated within 45 km of Pitt Meadows are Douglas College, Langara College, the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Trinity Western University, the University of British Columbia, and the University of the Fraser Valley.

Residents can visit the many parks in and around the city, including the Pitt Addington Wildlife Management Area (formerly known as Grant Narrows Regional Park), Golden Ears Provincial Park, Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, and Kanaka Creek Regional Park.
