Chineside Real Estate & Homes For Sale

It’s no secret that homes in the Lower Mainland tend to be on the more expensive side, and the farther west you go, the closer you get to the seven digit threshold. The Chineside area in Coquitlam, though, is an exception to the rule. Although the homes here are by no means cheap, they’re fairly priced to fit most families’ budgets without sacrificing on quality. Here are just a few reasons why Chineside is the new spot to be for families who want quality affordable homes.

Beautiful Homes for Growing Families

The Chineside area is a popular spot for families who want to move up from their current home. The houses here offer lots of indoor and outdoor living space, including spacious kitchens with granite countertops, large decks, and bonus rooms that are great for entertaining guests. Several of these homes would also make great investment properties, as the basements can be easily converted into secondary suites.

Major Amenities are Steps Away

Chineside homeowners love the neighbourhood’s close proximity to all sorts of great amenities. The Thrifty Woods grocery store is within walking distance, as are all manner of restaurants, a dentist, a pharmacy, and multiple banks. Caffe Divano and Chomp Vegan Eatery are just two of the specialty shops you’ll find in the area. Parents will love the neighbourhood’s local schools and parks. Baker Drive Elementary is just a few minutes’ walk to the north, while Hillcrest Middle School sits at the edge of the vast Mundy Park just a few blocks from Starbucks. Dr. Charles Best Secondary School on Como Lake Avenue serves older students.

Ample Options for Local and Regional Transit

Chineside is nestled between Como Lake Avenue and Dewdney Trunk Road, and both these roads offer easy access to regional transit routes. To the south, the 143 and 151 buses run along Como Lake Avenue and connect the area to SFU and Lougheed Station. St Johns Street to the north serves as a stop for the 160 bus, connecting to Port Coquitlam Station and Vancouver. The local Coquitlam Central Station serves as a hub for the West Coast Express and will serve as a SkyTrain stop for the future Evergreen Line in 2016.

Chineside is a beautiful and affordable community with lots of great amenities for the families who live here. If you’re considering a home in Coquitlam, a piece of Chineside Real Estate would serve you well as a quiet family home.
