Talk of 2010 in Vancouver and all you will rekindle is of course the 2010 winter Olympics held in the city. This was about the time that all roads led to Vancouver. Surprisingly, it was also about the time that Vancouver residents escaped the crowds and sought solace in quiet neighborhoods. One such neighborhood was Harrison Hot Springs, BC. This popular neighborhood and vacation getaway sits just outside Chilliwack. It is so far so good one of the best places to live in BC. Like other getaways, it often craws back to solitude, calm and quietness during winder, leaving just full time residents within its borders.

Residents here mostly depend on Harrison Hot Springs resort and associated business for their daily bread.  The remaining population works in the nearby Chilliwack and often support the thriving local agricultural economy or communities to the west such Langley, Mission and Abbotsford’s industrial parks. Though the hot springs resort is the prime charm that calls out for visitors to the neighborhood, there are also other recreational activities. Hiking in Sasquatch Provincial Park and Boating on Harrison Lake are just but some of these additional activities.

There are no big shopping malls within the neighborhood, but that does not mean shopping enthusiasts within the neighborhood do not shop at all. The neighborhood offers several tourists and resort fares in several shops most of which also sell staples and basics that the residents need. Chilliwack is just a few breaths away for those who need to do massive shopping.  For those with young, school going children, there is Hot Springs Elementary within the neighborhood.
