In addition, the SkyTrains give residents the option of rapid transit to downtown Vancouver, the waterfront and other nearby cities.
Children in Terra Nova attend Spul'u'Kwuks Elementary School, which feeds into J.N. Burnett Secondary. There are a variety of private and religious-based schools in Richmond for parents who desire an alternative to public school. Sprott Shaw College has a satellite location in Richmond where older students can obtain several different degree types in a variety of fields. Another option for higher-education is the Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Richmond residents have a variety of art options at their fingertips, from live performances at the legendary Gateway Theatre to over 65 public art installations throughout the city that residents can view free.
