The land of fun is how we would describe Penticton. Loco landing- an Amusement Centre located at the far end of the Lakeshore Drive, is a fun holiday destination to take your kids to enjoy. The Penticton Peach Festival is a south Okanagan valley tradition to celebrate peach harvesting. It is an important day for all the residents of Penticton- getting together to celebrate with their families. Penticton also has a lot of playgrounds and stunning sandy beaches for everyday recreation, making it a residential paradise.
Across School district 67, there are many excellent schools – Skaha Lake Middle School, KVR Middle School, Queen’s Park Elementary School, Penticton Secondary, and Ecole Entre-Lac are a few prominent ones. Penticton also has many top universities/colleges, like the University of British Columbia Okanagan, Okanagan College and Sprott Shaw College.
The Penticton Regional Hospital and the medical centres – Apple Plaza Walk-In and the Peach City Medical and Urgent Care, provide the quality healthcare residents deserve.
Cycling routes connect Lake Skaha and Lake Okanagan, and multiple other courses are available for commuting. There are also cycle renting barns or stores across town. The local bus service (BC Transit) covers Penticton on various routes – 2, 10, 30 and 50. They offer fully functional buses - well-connected that work six days a week, excluding the significant holidays for travelling or commuting. A lake-to-lake bus route is also provided during the Summer.
