The favourite pastime of all McKinley Landing residents has to be sunbathing or swimming at McKinley Beach. The sea is a mere 6-minute drive from the Landing and within walking distance. If you’re willing to make an hour’s drive down into the Okanagan Valley, you have gorgeous hiking trails, like the Rose Valley Perimeter Loop, Pincushion Mountain, Canyon Falls and Enderby Cliffs. For trails closer home, there are many parks and nature reserves like McKinley Landing Park, Knox Mountain Park, Stephens Coyote Ridge Regional Park and Mission Creek Regional Park, where you can plan for a picnic with your family. A few miles away are the famed Kasugai Gardens, which everyone will find enthralling. For movie buffs, the Landmark Cinemas keeps ready a steady supply of international and domestic screenings. Art lovers will find themselves rewarded when they visit Kelowna Art Gallery and Gallery 421, both of which are just 20 minutes away by car.

McKinley Landing is very close to Glenmore. So, schools in Glenmore are a great option for residents in McKinley Landing. You can consider enrolling your child in North Glenmore Elementary, Watson Road Elementary, Ellison Elementary, École Dr. Knox Middle School, George Elliot Secondary and Aberdeen Hall Preparatory School. For their college education, UBC Okanagan is just a stone’s throw away. Sprott Shaw College Kelowna is another reputed institution.

Kelowna General Hospital is the closest hospital to McKinley Landing. You can also visit private clinics like the Okanagan Clinical Trials and Pacemaker Clinic.
