Kelowna North is home to the Cultural District of the city. There are numerous theatres, art galleries, libraries, gardens and cafes in the region. You can get your kids and make a day of it here. In fact, daily walking tours are conducted in the cultural district, which shows you the important places in Kelowna North. The neighbourhood is also very closely situated to numerous museums. For example, the Okanagan Heritage Museum, the Okanagan Military Museum and the Okanagan Wine and Orchard Museum are just a few minutes drive from here. If you like art, you can visit the Kelowna Art Gallery. For an aesthetic delight, be sure to visit the Japanese-themed Kasugai Gardens. The Rotary Centre for the Arts & the Mary Irwin Theatre and the Kelowna Community Theatre are also nearby, and they host plans every day. Prospera Place is also located in Kelowna North. Many community events are organized here. As you’re waiting for the premises to open, you can take a walk or skate down the boardwalk at Waterfront Park. If you or your little ones love to read, then you can get membership down at the Okanagan Regional Library. It’s the city’s main library branch. If you enjoy sailing, then you can enroll in the Kelowna Yacht Club.

Education

There are plenty of schools and colleges near the Kelowna North area. Okanagan Montessori, Dorothea Walker Elementary, École KLO Middle School and Okanagan Mission Secondary are a few schools you can consider enrolling your kids in. The Okanagan College - Kelowna Campus, including the Aerospace Campus, are both very close to the Kelowna North neighbourhood; so is VanWest College, which is just a 5-minute drive away.

Healthcare

The Helix Clinic is a reputed medical spa in the region. For surgical and OPD care, you can visit Joseph Benjamin Residence, David Lloyd Jones Home and Kelowna General Hospital. The Pandosy Village Veterinary Hospital is a mere three miles away from Kelowna North.

Transportation

Kelowna North is serviced by the British Columbia public transport system. The frequency of the vehicles is very high, and you can easily reach other parts of the city through public transport.
