With a population of just 2,700 people, it is easy for anyone to describe Fort Langley as a close knit community where everyone knows each other. Well, to some extent that is the case here. The residents are friendly, the weather pleasant and recreational facilities just charming. Home prices are affordable. Keep in mind that the neighborhood has all social and recreational facilities within its borders. Downtown Vancouver is also just a 20 minutes drive away from nearly all homes here.

Fort Langley in Langley British Columbia is a quaint small village of just 2,700 people. Often referred to as the birth place of British Columbia, Fort Langley has a lot of history behind it. Over a century ago, it served as a trading post to the entire West Coast. The history does not end there. Fort Langley also served as fortification point that went a long way to help European settlers settle in the Fort Langley. Much of this history and other pieces of history about Fort Langley can be found at Fort Langley National Historic Park or The Fort Langley Railway station. The latter facility boasts of a restored 1910 Canadian National Railway Station and a 1920s caboose just outside its entrance.
The average home price in Fort Langley is $571,964 which is way cheaper than nearby neighborhoods such as homes in Surrey. Apartments here sell for under $200,000 while multi bedroom houses sell for approximately $800,000. This makes living in Fort Langley attractive rather than prohibitive. There are more expensive homes selling for well over $1 million, but they are just a handful.
Social and basic ammonites are strategically located in different parts of the neighborhood for easy access by all residents. There are two elementary schools, Fort Langley Elementary and Fort Langley Fine Arts School. The latter has a secondary school, making Fort Langley complete with all level educational facilities. Transport within and even outside the neighborhood is totally effortless. TransCanada Highway, which lies west of the community, offers easy access to Downtown while TransLink offers several bus services within the neighborhood.
