Downtown Vancouver East is a region within Vancouver city in BC, Canada. Geographically, this region is bordered by Fraser River to the south, Burrard inlet to the north, and Burnaby City to the East. Downtown Vancouver east is divided from the west side by Ontario Street.
Downtown Vancouver east has become the first home to most non-British immigrants, since 1880s. Historically, it was more affordable and provided home for lower-income earners. This region is best summarized by its diversity in land use, family income and ethnicity. Increase in housing and real estate has contributed much to such diversity in this district.

Vancouver East is among the most diverse metropolitans in Canada.
