County Line Glen Valley Real Estate & Homes For Sale

In the township of Langley, there are areas where the grid streets break up into long, winding roads where neighbors are still far enough away to ensure total privacy and lot sizes are 3, 4, and 5 acres. One such rural neighbourhood is County Line Glen Valley. This beautiful community is located east of the Fort Langley neighbourhood, and is the true definition of luxury country living. Some homes enjoy breathtaking views of the Fraser River or lush and green forests.

Families and individuals in search of farms or homes with a lot of acreage are attracted to this area. While the majority of homes are single-family houses on as many as 5 acres, there are some multi-family housing options. Although residents here get to enjoy gorgeous rolling countryside and wide open spaces, they are still just minutes away from all of the urban conveniences and amenities that the Langley Township offers. County Line Glen Valley is also a big draw for professionals working in nearby cities. Although it's a short commute, these individuals have the benefit of leaving the noisy, crowded city and retiring at night to a quiet and peaceful home.

The workforce in the Langley Township is thriving and 50,000 strong. The area is one of the best places to start a business; in 2011 nearly 7,100 business licenses were issued. This, in combination with the fact that the Langley Township has one of the lowest business bankruptcy rates in the market area, draws in a great deal of entrepreneurs. Those who  don't work for themselves work in a huge variety of industries. Retail, manufacturing, construction, transportation and healthcare are just a few of the top industries in the township.

Shopping/Dining

It's just minutes from County Line Glen Valley to Glover Road, where clusters of retail shops can be found. Willowbrook Shopping Centre is also nearby, and boasts nearly 150 retail stores and professional services. These areas are also rich with dining options, from casual pub fare to delicious, upscale dining. One nearby favourite is the Lampliter Cafe, where residents often order duck liver pate or the griddled BC snapper. Another favourite is the Fort Pub and Grill, offering up delicious burgers, fries and much more.

Streets like 264th and 272nd are through-roads that run north to south and offer access to just about anywhere in the neighbourhood. Public transportation in the form of TransLink buses is available throughout the neighbourhood as well, although many prefer to drive their own vehicle to and from work and other places.
Schools

County Line Glen Valley children who attend elementary school will either go to County Line Elementary School or Fort Langley Elementary, depending on where they live. Those schools empty out into DW Poppy Secondary School. Those seeking out a higher education can take advantage of Kwantlen Polytechnic University or Trinity Western University.

The Arts

Just to the west of County Line Glen Valley is the Langley Fine Arts School, where students study dance, drama, visual arts, music, photography, writing and much more. Nearby is the Fort Langley Art Gallery, which showcases the works of local artists. Those who want a slightly different and perhaps more involved art experience can visit the Arts Watershed Cafe, where they can enjoy local musical acts. Plus, each month, a new artist from the Lower Mainland is showcased in the cafe, including photographers, mixed media artists, painters and more. Residents can also enjoy the local theatres, museums and cultural events.

Recreation/Sports

There are plenty of nearby recreational activities and opportunities for County Line Glen Valley residents. At the Glen Valley Regional Park, individuals can take their dog (or even their horse) for a walk through the 3km system of trails or can spend some time casting out with tidal fishing on the Fraser River.  Those who love horseback riding can take advantage of Langley's Glen Valley Stables, where 1-2 hour trail rides are offered. For those with a little more relaxation in mind, visiting the Fort Wine Co. Winery. Started with a delicious cranberry wine in 2001, the winery now offers 11 different wines and supports local berry and fruit farmers in British Columbia. Tours are available, and the bistro serves glasses of wine and cheese platters. During the holidays, families can visit the Dogwood Christmas Tree Farm, where they can choose and cut down their own gorgeous tree! There are plenty of things to do in the area, including several golf courses, numerous trails and dykes to explore, and plenty of water sports.
