With its imposing dark, rocky frame, Black Mountain is one of the most picturesque regions in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley. Named after the black volcanic soil that covers the entire region, Black Mountain makes for a great place to raise a family. Black Mountain is just a short 14-minute drive from the Kelowna city centre. This makes it the perfect suburban locality that’s close to both nature’s bounty and the city’s modern amenities. The real estate in Black Mountain is a mixture of single-family homes with the occasional duplex apartments, townhouses and condos. The neighbourhood has a distinctly rustic feel to it, and there are large swathes of pastures dotting the region. The best thing about Black Mountain is that the residences are hidden away from the bustle in Kelowna. Although a few hours away from Big White, Black Mountain remains an idyllic and peaceful locality.
